Vivo Y52 5G specs

The main features that stand out for the Vivo Y52 5G are the following:

  • Design – The Vivo Y52 5G has a beautiful big display while also having a slim design with it. The slim design makes it easier for the user to take their Vivo Y52 5G out of theirs pockets or bags while also not taking much space in them. Plus the Vivo Y52 5G is easier to carry with this slim design.
  • Rear Camera – The Vivo Y52 5G has also has an elegant rear camera look. Besides that it’s rear camera lenses has good megapixels each which ensures good photos and videos will be taken with the Vivo Y52 5G.
  • Storage – The Vivo Y52 5G has a big memory storage on board. 128GB on board storage is something many users prefer more and is becoming the norm more in the smartphone market.
  • Battery Capacity – The Vivo Y52 5G’s battery has big battery capacity. As a user of the Vivo Y52 5G, you will experience less the need to recharge its battery with power and will be able to do many tasks for long hours.

Colors available for the Vivo Y52 5G

The following colors are available for the Vivo Y52 5G:

  • Shiny Black
  • Glacier Blue

As can be seen in the picture above, these are beautiful colors to choose from. The sad part is many other smartphones offer the same color scheme. Thus, I cannot say these colors are unique only for the Vivo Y52 5G. But, they are still beautiful.

Cash Price point assumption for the Vivo Y52 5G

As stated in the beginning, the Vivo Y52 5G will fall under the entry level smartphone market. Meaning the Vivo Y52 5G was made specifically for smartphone users that do not have much money to spend on a smartphone.

The cash price point assumption for the Vivo Y52 5G will fall in the price bracket between R4500 till R5000 cash. As you can tell, it is not that expensive. Contract prices will be revealed shortly as soon the Vivo Y52 5G enters the South African market.

Vivo Y20 VS Vivo Y52 5G

The main differences between the Vivo Y20 and the Vivo Y52 5G are the following:

  • Size – The Vivo Y52 5G is a few 0,07 inches bigger than the Vivo Y20.
  • Chipsets – Both smartphones have totally different chipset makes. However, the Vivo Y52 5G has 5G network capabilities while the Vivo Y20 does not have 5G network capabilities.
  • Rear Camera – Both smartphones’ rear camera layout look totally different in terms of their camera lenses size and positioned. With the Vivo Y20’s rear camera layout you can see all three lenses at the same size and straight in a line. With the Vivo Y52 5G’s rear camera layout you see a different approach. It has two big camera lenses that are bigger than the Vivo Y20’s camera lenses and one small camera lens close to the flash. Besides the layout, the Vivo Y52 5G’s rear camera lens has more megapixels than the Vivo Y20’s rear camera lens. Meaning the Vivo Y52 5G will take better photos and videos as compared to the Vivo Y20.
  • Storage – The Vivo Y52 5G has double storage memory size on board as compared to the Vivo Y20 on board storage memory size. Meaning the Vivo Y52 5G will be able to store more data and information as compared to the Vivo Y20.

Overall: There are similarities between the Vivo Y20 and the Vivo Y52 5G. However, when comparing all their specs against each other, everyone will agree that the Vivo Y52 5G wins hands down and will be more preferred by users to purchase. Unless we talk about cash price. The Vivo Y20 is way cheaper compared to the Vivo Y52 5G’s cash price. So do not count the Vivo Y20 out. Vivo Y20 may satisfy users that only have a smartphone budget not more than R3000 and will still receive good specs. Like I said, they have similarities, but Vivo Y52 5G wins in specs.

Conclusion

The Vivo Y52 5G is quite an impressive smartphone in the entry level category. It comes with good improvements when comparing with the previous Vivo Y series smartphones that is available in South Africa.

I feel the Vivo Y52 5G will stand out more if it improved its front camera specs and maybe thrown in a smartphone color the other competitors do not have in their entry level smartphones. Many entry level smartphones currently have similar specs. Thus, the Vivo Y52 5G might have though competition to sell this smartphone depending on their competition currently in the South African market.

Rest, the Vivo Y52 5G is a good smartphone in my book and is a smartphone low-budget users can look at. But, the main question of course is:

Does the Vivo Y52 5G smartphone fall under your smartphone criteria?

Please let me know your thoughts about the Vivo Y52 5G and would you consider it as an option to buy or select in the comments below.

  1. Thank you for explaining Vivo Y52. My dad is interested to buy the Vivo series because it seems easier for elders to use. He loves simple and basic design. I can also see that Y52 has much greater spec compared to Y20, so it’s a clear win for it. However, do you mind comparing it with Xiaomi Redmi 10? Both are good for the low-mid segment, so I want to check which one is better for my dad.

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 and the Vivo Y52 5G specs are very similar. Firstly their rear camera layouts for both smartphones are completely different. However, in terms of megapixels per rear camera lens, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 will win in terms of photo and video capture quality.

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 has more storage and RAM memory options as compared to the Vivo Y52 5G. Vivo Y52 5G only has one option for both storage and RAM. Xiaomi Redmi 10 had a faster RAM memory option though and may also have cheaper prices depending your storage memory you select.

Then the Vivo Y52 5G has 5G network capabilities while the Xiaomi Redmi 10 does not. Rest everything is basically the same. Hope this answers the comparison between the two for you. 2. The Vivo Y52 sounds like the perfect phone for my mother. She is not very tech-savvy and has had an iPhone 4 since 2011; and it’s getting more difficult for her to see the screen or use the dial pad. She needs something up-to-date and simple to use; and the Vivo Y52 specs show me this would be the perfect phone for my mom. At this stage of life, it’s important that I can stay connected with her and that she feels comfortable and confident she can operate the phone. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll post to your blog on my mom’s progress on using the Vivo Y52.
